Anywhere where there has been a Spanish influence (Spain, Mexico, South America and the Philippines) has its own version of this popular sausage. Ours is the Mexican version. Chorizo is widely known in New Zealand as a spicy, smoked delicatessen type sausage. Branco’s Chorizo was the first fresh (uncooked) Chorizo sausage in supermarkets.
